Service Engineer (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team for field services electronical testing, we are hiring a full-time employee in the position as Service Engineer (m/f/d) with focus on the Italian market.

In this position, you independently carry out commissioning and acceptance tests of sonar systems and echo sounders used worldwide in shipyards and at sea. Your main are of deployment is Italy. In addition, you support our engineering teams in verifying software and in utilizing suitable measurement methodologies for the respective application.
Weitere Aufgaben

• You will be located directly in Italy for a large proportion of your working hours (approx. 70-80%) and will be responsible for service tasks associated to orders and projects with our Italian customers.
• You are responsible for the smooth execution of in-house commissioning and customer acceptance testing (FAT, HAT, SAT) and execute “setting to work” activities of our systems on site.
• Together with your Italy based colleagues, you act as “quick reaction force”. You operate out of Italy and support our customers upon request when technical challenges and disruptions arise.
• You use your network to support sales activities in the Italian market and to acquire new customers and projects.
• You test and repair products and systems.
• You independently create test and training documents.
• You independently prepare for customer training courses and execute them in-house and / or at the customer's site.

Dein Profil

• You have successfully completed a university degree in electrical engineering, electronics or measurement technology, or you can proof a comparable professional qualification (master / technician).
• Professional experience as field service engineer for complex industrial plants and systems, ideally in the naval industry, is desirable.
• Ideally, you maintain a very good network within the Italian maritime industry and in the Italian Navy.
• You are enthusiastic about new technologies and are willing to learn how to integrate these into your daily work.
• You enjoy regular global business trips, and frequent multi-week visits to our headquarters in Kiel / Germany are no problem for you
• You are a natural born team player with a high degree of motivation, flexibility and independence.
• You are also characterized by a confident appearance and superior intercultural competences.
• You are fluent in the German language and communicate confidently in German.
• For this position, we require very good proficiency in Italian and English language skills, both in writing and verbally. Italian native speakers would be preferred.
